Cute little restaurant right at the hotel I’m staying at. Works out nicely. Pleasant music playing in the background and big, spacious booths. I got the avacado and bacon omelette. Overall not bad. The omelette was a little dense, not very fluffy, but it was thick. Easily an entire avocado on top and inside of the omelette. They put tomato in the omelette which coupled with the melted cheese made the omelette super messy and runny. Crispy hash browns and buttered toast on the side. Delicious meal served super quick!

This place is on the ground floor of the hotel but has outside access. Service was quick. Their regular coffee was alright. The menu has a ton of options for all times of the day. I had the cinnamon roll french toast, which I would highly recommend. The I side looks like your standard diner type restaurant. Everyone was very friendly. The prices were about average for everything. If you're in the area looking for a good quick meal I would recommend this place.

Excellent food and service. I had the avocado and bacon omelette and loved it! They gave me so many hash browns that I couldn't finish them all. Excellent prices also.

I love this place , while I was living in the Hotel I was having here breakfast every morning, since I vegan I don’t have a lot of options but they did a special avocado toast for me and it was absolutely delicious)

One of the best places to dine, undoubtedly. I and my group of 5 visited this cafe around 11 am for breakfast. One e thing we were amazed at how big this place is. Looks even bigger and spacious from the inside. They can accommodate small to big groups easily!! And the next big thing about them is their menu. Being a vegetarian, I ordered a Panini Sandwich and I was super happy with my choice. Our server was extremely helpful and accommodated our requests. The portion size is really big, you can really only finish the whole thing if you're really hungry. Would definitely visit this place again.

Delicious food and very accommodating staff! We showed up in a large group and the staff was very friendly and helped to find us a larger table. There was a large menu and lots of sweet or savory options. I had the avocado toast and it was well made and a perfect start for the day!

I went here over the weekend with family and was expecting decent food and crappy service as the location in Deerfield/Lincolnshire shut down due to lack of staff. However, I was pleasantly surprised as the food and service was quite good. I ordered the Sweet Basil Favorite Crepes with bananas, strawberries, and pecans. I decided to removed the pecans (ick!) and ordered the sausage links well done, and hashbrowns (not well done). The crepes were nicely sweetened but not overwhelming and the fruit was fresh. The sausages were perfectly well done and the hash browns were good and not too oily. Our server was attentive providing refills and clearing plates. There clearly isn't a server issue here. We had a nice private table despite not having a full restaurant. Another person ordered the same main entree as I did. She thought it came with whipped cream and they immediately brough out two bowls with whipped for us both. Everyone else got omelets and they were huge with a ton of their selected ingredients mixed in. Sweet Basil did not skimp on the add-ons. Some got toast and some got the pancakes as the side carb. The pancakes were as big as the plates themselves and were a "short stack" of two cakes. No one finished their omelets and sides. Everything was cooked to each person's liking. I never really thought about coming to Skokie for breakfast as we are about 20 minutes away, but I'm definitely going back.
